Introduction to DCAPA

District of Columbia Academy of Physician Assistants serves the needs of PAs and PA students who work or reside in metropolitan Washington, D.C. DCAPA’s Web site serves its members and the public by providing a forum for services and ideas designed to strengthen and promote the PA profession throughout the city. DCAPA will strive to publicize the contributions of PAs to patients, employers, and policy makers. As the voice and advocate of PAs in D.C., DCAPA promotes continuing education for its members, provides PA employment information to PAs and physicians, and strengthens the role of PAs by supporting and encouraging membership in DCAPA.

We at the DCAPA would like to extend our deepest condolences to PA Michael Cahill, his family, and all the others killed or wounded during the Fort Hood tragedy on 11/5/2009. Please note that the AAPA PA Foundation will be accepting donations in memory of PA Michael Cahill. These donations will be used to support the programs of the PA Foundation - national and international community health care grants, and scholarships for deserving PA students. The Foundation will send a note to the Cahill Family for each donation made in memory of Michael Cahill.
